THRESHOLDS
Each frame in the Thresholds Collection begins as a flat sheet of Mazzucchelli 1849 acetate—a plant-based material made from cotton fibers and wood pulp, crafted in Italy through time-honored techniques. From this organic medium, both the front and temples are carefully cut, sculpted, and polished by hand, revealing depth, light, and the unique marbling that makes every piece one of one.
Inside the temples, a lead-free copper core adds strength and balance, paired with precision-calibrated hinges made from the same environmentally responsible alloy. These elements are seamlessly integrated—durable, responsive, and intentionally minimal.
After assembly, each frame undergoes a final hand-polishing ritual. The result is a tactile softness and luminous surface that feels as refined as it looks. No two are ever the same—each frame holds subtle variations shaped by craftsmanship and time.
To complete the piece, we use TAC polarized lenses with UV400 protection, shielding your eyes from harmful rays and surface glare without compromising clarity.
From sustainable materials to meticulous construction, every Thresholds frame is built with care—for what’s seen and what’s unseen.
This is how light becomes structure.
This is how you cross the threshold.
